M is for Munching

I am supposed to eat five servings a day of veggies.  Unfortunately, the only veggies I have left in my fridge is a giant bag of baby carrots.  That means for the last two days I have had to eat 5 cups of carrots a day.  All day long at work I have been munching on those things, trying to get them all in.  It is true that I haven't been hungry, or craving anything bad for me.  But all that munching is making my jaw tired.  And here I though lettuce required too much chewing.

  1. First with the lettuce, then with the carrots. Hmmmm, might you have a hatred for chewing things?

  3. Not to mention great eyesight. I have always been skeptical about the five servings thing. How does one fit five servings of veggie and fruit into a day? One would have to be grazing all day and all night. When does one sleep.

  4. Strangely enough, this post is making me crave carrots and such yummy vegetables, not to mention fruit. Since I had a major tooth extracted I have to eat soft foods and since I like chewing my vegetables (unlike some people we know) I don't want soft ones, yuk. I've had probably 2 servings of vegetables in 2 weeks and I am craving them! Will take your carrots off your hands, but won't be able to eat them. Dang it!

  5. Have you turned orange yet? I heard that if you eat too many carrots, you turn orange.

  6. I wish I could get in a fraction of that as my veggies for the week. Yikes!

  9. I once watched a TV show that showed a cancer patient drinking lots and lots of carrot juice. For some kinds of cancer, it was supposed to be helpful. So my conclusion was that carrots must be very, very good for us, though I think in your situation I'd get very, very tired of them. But I love veggies and fruits, and what a yummy diet, in my opinion.
