Free Surgery

How often would you get surgery if it was free?  I got my eyes lasered last year and it comes with a lifetime guarantee.  That means that I can go in for a "touch-up" if my eyes change at all.  After one year, my astigmatism has return in my right eye.  That means that sometimes, when I am really tired, I feel like I need to strain to get perfect focus.  Should I go in for another eye surgery?  Will I need to go in every year to get my cornea resurfaced again and again?  How many times can I have surgery on my eyes before things start to go really wrong?  Or, should I just get a really cute pair of glasses that I only wear when I feel like it.  What do you think?

  1. Hey it's free, what can you lose? Free surgery, wow that's worth a lot, like $1000. I know, why don't you pass on the surgery and ask them to just give you the $1000?

  2. KarenG, where do you live? I think I should move to your fantasy world where surgery only costs $1000. That would pay for part of one eye. Maybe four eyelashes.

  3. Glasses!! Cute lovely ones!!! Only cos the thought of eye surgery makes me feel very squeamish!! LOL!!! And just think of the SHOPPING! for glasses frames!! I'm terrible with such things so much that the optician person assisting me with choosing frames gets so bored with me cos I take forever and he/she is like "yes they all suit you now please just pick one it's been nearly two hours..!"

    Ahem.

p.s. I love your new blog header pic - awwwww!!

    Take care

  4. Love the photo :o) Shudder at the thought of eye surgery. I'm a complete sook just having drops put in my eyes. I need glasses for long distance. I would be peed off if I went through with the op only to have the problem come back again. If you dont mind the op then I say go for it if its free. What does the surgeon recommend?

  5. Any surgery on my eyes makes me want to run screaming from the room. Ack! So, you're already braver than I am and I'm no help whatsoever. :)

I stopped over from KarenG's blog, but I'll be back!

  6. Great photo!

I say if it's free and won't cause too much disruption, go for it! :)

Hope you're having a great weekend.

  7. I would go with the glasses. Nothing like a spiffy pair of glasses to add bejazz to an outfit. Do I sound like character out of a Gidget movie?

  8. Aw love the picture in your blog header!

I'd be pretty peeved that this issue has arisen so quickly, but then again it's not really something anyone can guarantee, is it? It depends whether it can be easily corrected or whether it is something that will re-occur. I'd probably go for glasses for now, as I am a little squeamish with things like that!
